Navy chief launches tree plantation campaign

DHAKA, June 25, 2025 (BSS) - Navy Chief Admiral M Nazmul Hassan today inaugurated a tree plantation programme, as part of implementing the National Tree Plantation Campaign-2025.

He inaugurated the programme by planting a tree at the Naval Headquarters in Dhaka, an Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) press release said. 

Later, prayers were held for the success of the programme.

Principal staff officers of Navy headquarters, area commander of Dhaka, military and civilian officials, staff and sailors were present at the event.

Regional Commander of Chattogram Naval Region, senior military and civilian officers, employees and sailors were present on the occasion.

On this day, the program was simultaneously inaugurated in all naval bases, coastal installations and areas.

The Navy Chief urged all Navy personnel to plant trees for environmental protection as well as building green and healthy environment.

As part of the programme, Bangladesh Navy will conduct the tree plantation program by planting various fruit, forest and herb seedlings in various naval bases, coastal installations and areas.
