JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, June 25, 2025 (BSS) - A locally-made firearm was recovered from a false ceiling of a toilet at Shaheed Salam-Barkat Hall of Jahangirnagar University today.
 
The discovery was made around 9:30 AM by Sujan Babu, a cleaning staff of the hall, while he was cleaning the ceiling of a toilet.
 
According to sources, the firearm was found above the false ceiling of the toilet adjacent to Room 226 on the west side of the second floor of Block-A in the dormitory. 
 
Later, he immediately informed the hall authorities.
 
Following the report, police seized the firearm.
