Jamaat to hold rally on July 19

DHAKA, June 25, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami will hold a 'Jatiya Somabesh' (national rally) at Suhrawardy Udyan at 2 pm on July 19.

The rally will be held with the demand to create a level playing field for the upcoming national parliamentary elections to be held in a free, fair, impartial and peaceful manner, the prosecution of all genocides, necessary fundamental reforms, the implementation of the July Charter and Declaration, the rehabilitation of the families of the martyred and injured in the July Uprising, holding national elections using the PR system and a system for providing voting rights to expatriates.

Marking the rally, a meeting of implementation committee was held at the central office of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami at Moghbazar today, chaired by the organization's Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Parwar.

The meeting reviewed the work of various departments of the committee for implementation of the rally and urged the leaders and activists of all levels of the organization and the countrymen to make the rally a success. 

Jamaat Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim, Central Executive Council Member Mubarak Hossain, Ameer of Dhaka City South and North Nurul Islam Bulbul and Md. Selim Uddin, Secretaries of Dhaka City South and North Dr Shafiqul Islam Masud and Dr Rezaul Karim, 

Assistant Secretaries of Dhaka city North Dr Fakhruddin Manik and Md. Yasin Arafat, Assistant Secretary of Dhaka City South Kamal Hossain, General Secretary of Bangladesh Sramik Kalyan Federation Atiqur Rahman and Secretary General of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir Nurul Islam Saddam were present in the meeting.
