DMP files 2,532 cases for violating traffic rules

DHAKA, June 26, 2025 (BSS) - The Traffic Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) filed 2,532 cases over traffic rule violations in a single day across the capital.

This information was confirmed in a DMP press release signed by Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations), Talebur Rahman today.

It said the DMP Traffic Division has filed those cases and realized fines during June 25 through regular drive against traffic rules breakers.

During the drive, 370 motor vehicles were dumped and 118 others were wrecked.

It further said these drives against traffic rule breakers will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets.

The DMP traffic division has been working to bring traffic system under smooth in the capital for giving city dwellers easy movement.
