ACC to probe into allegations of recruiting 21 non-cadre officers of 29th BCS to cadre service

DHAKA, June 26, 2025(BSS) - The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has decided to probe into the allegations of recruiting the 21 non-cadre officers to different cadre positions unlawfully.

Director General (Prevention) of the ACC Md Akter Hossain disclosed the information to journalists at a briefing at the commission’s headquarters in the city’s Segunbagicha area.

The DG said the Public Service Commission (PSC) after completing all the formalities recommended a number of people to appoint them to the non-cadre services in 29th BCS. 

But, after 13 months of the recommendations, the 21 non-cadre candidates were appointed to different cadre services through corruption and misusing power.

Of the 21, five people were recruited to the admin cadre, one in Ansar cadre, four in Customs and VAT, two in Economic cadre, two in Family Planning cadre, one in Foreign Service, two in Police service, three in Taxation cadre and one in General Education cadre.
