NARSINGDI, June 27, 2025 (BSS) - Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary General Advocate Moazzem Hossain Helal said Jammat is committed to establishing a just and welfare-oriented state for the people.

“Jamaat-e-Islami is committed to establishing a just and welfare-oriented state in the future because Jamaat stands for truth and justice that despite imprisonment, repression, and torture during the past 16 years, the party has now regained its registration and electoral symbol," he added.

So far, the party has finalized candidates in nearly 300 constituencies across the country, though the number may vary in the coming days, he further informed.

He made these remarks while addressing as the chief guest at the representatives conference of Jamaat-e-Islami’s Palash unit under Narsingdi district, held at the Ghorashal Municipal Auditorium this morning.

The conference was presided over by Maulana Abul Kashem Shikdar, Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami’s Palash Upazila unit. The event was conducted by Masud Karim, secretary of the unit.

Narsingdi district Ameer Maulana Moslehuddin, district secretary Maulana Amzad Hossain, and district working committee members Sayeduzzaman, Abdul Jabbar, and Maulana Abul Aziz, Ameer of Madhabdi Thana were, among others, present at the event.

Highlighting the challenges, Jamaat leaders urged all party workers to get united and act collectively to win the sympathy of voters for the victory of the party candidates during the next national election.

They said the upcoming election will be a reckoning—a recognition of the sacrifices of martyrs and the hard work of the people. Jamaat-e-Islami wants to build a welfare state free from discrimination.

They concluded the event by recalling the sacrifices of leaders like Abu Sayeed and Mugdha Jibon.
