MOULVIBAZAR, June 27, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman visited the village home of Nafiza Jannat Anjum in Moulvibazar on Friday to express solidarity with her grieving family.

Anjum, a 10th-grade student, was brutally murdered after her disappearance on June 12. Dr Shafiqur condemned the heinous crime and vowed to stand by the victim's family in their pursuit of justice.

In the presence of a large crowd, including local residents, Jamaat leaders and family members, Jamaat Ameer pointed out the injustice faced by Anjum and her family saying, "The injustice done to this innocent girl and her family cannot be accepted under any circumstances".

"The police must stand by justice. We demand that the investigating officer, appointed by the IO, will do his job fairly and impartially," he emphasized.

Jamaat Aeer personally consoled Anjum's father, Khaliq Miah as well as her younger brother and baby sister, who have been deeply affected by the tragic incident.

The Jamaat Ameer was accompanied by several senior party leaders, including Assistant Secretary General Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, District Ameer Engineer Md. Shahed Ali, Nayeb Ameer Maulana Abdur Rahman and District Secretary Md Yamir Ali.
