DHAKA, June 27, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed today said all parties are in agreement regarding the national elections.

"If that is the case, then it's impossible to hold local elections before the national polls," he told while exchanging views with journalists at his Gulshan residence here.

Salahuddin said that the struggle so far is for the national elections, not for the localpolls. The main job of the EC is now to organize the national elections, he added.

Salahuddin said BNP expects that the interim government will maintain neutrality regarding the election.
