National Imam Conference begins tomorrow

DHAKA, June 28, 2025 (BSS) - The National Hifzul Quran and Seerat Competition and the National Conference of Trained Imams will be held in the city tomorrow.
 
Bangladesh Islamic Foundation is going to organised the event at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium here.
 
Religious Affairs Adviser Dr A F M Khalid Hossain will be present as the chief guest at the programme while Religious Affairs Secretary AKM Aftab Hossain Pramanik will join as the special guest. 
 
Director General (Senior District and Sessions Judge) of the Bangladesh Islamic Foundation Abdus Salam Khan will preside over the event.
 
The Bangladesh Islamic Foundation has taken this initiative with the aim of spreading Islamic education, culture and values, awakening the morality of the young generation and achieving excellence in religious leadership.
 
The conference will award nine winners from each of the three groups participating in the national-level Hifzul Quran and Seerat competitions. In addition, among the trained imams, three best imams at the national level, 24 at the divisional level, 192 imams at the district level and 64 best imams who are involving with farming will be given cash, crests and certificates.
 
The first prize of the Hifzul Quran competition has been set at Taka 2 lakh, the second at Taka 1.5 lakh and the third prize at Taka 1 lakh.
 
 The first prize in the Seerat competition is Taka 50 thousand while the second Taka 45 thousand and the third Taka 40 thousand.
 
 Cash, crests and certificates will also be given to the best imams and farm imams.
 
Through this event, the Islamic Foundation is expected to play a leading role in Islamic education, Quran Hifz and Seerat practice, religious leadership development and values awakening in the country.
