4 killed, 14 injured in Munshiganj road accident

MUNSHIGANJ, June 28, 2025 (BSS) - Four people were killed and 14 others injured in a road accident on the Dhaka-Mawa-Bhanga Expressway early this morning.

The deceased were Md. Zillur Rahman, 65, Dr. Jalal, 65, Dr. Abdul Halim, 55, and Hasib, 32. 

The accident occurred around 3.30 am near Hasara Police Station when a bus hit a mini truck from behind, leaving two bus passengers Zillur and Jalal dead on the spot and 16 others injured, said Hasara Highway Police Outpost Officer-in-Charge Abdul Quader Jilani.

The injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where two others succumbed to their injuries.
