DHAKA, June 28, 2025 (BSS) - Jatiya Press Club (JPC) associate member and Freedom Fighter AA Zafar Iqbal died of old-age complications at a hospital in the city today.

He was 76.

He left behind two sons, a daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.

His Namaz-e-Janaza was held on the premises of JPC this evening. Later, a guard of honour was given to him on behalf of Dhaka deputy commissioner.

He will be buried at Azimpur Graveyard in the city.

JPC President Hasan Hafiz and General Secretary Ayub Bhuiyan expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of AA Zafar Iqbal.

In a condolence message, they prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
