DMP files 1,920 cases for violating traffic rules

DHAKA, June 29, 2025 (BSS) - The Traffic Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) filed 1,920 cases over traffic rule violations in a single day across the capital.

This information was confirmed in a DMP press release signed by Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations), Talebur Rahman today.

It said the DMP Traffic Division has filed those cases and realized fines during June 28 through regular drive against traffic rule breakers.

During the drive, 274 motor vehicles were dumped and 79 others were wrecked.

It further said these drives against traffic rule breakers will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets.

The DMP traffic division has been working to bring discipline in the traffic system of the capital, to ensure hassle free movement of the city dwellers.
