DHAKA, July 1, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today ordered to attach two plots
and a car of Sima Rahman, wife of former lawmaker from Magura-1 constituency
Md. Shifuzzaman Shikhor, over graft allegations.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the
order, allowing a plea of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). The court
also ordered to freeze two bank accounts of Sima.

Of the plots, one is situated in Keraniganj Jhilmil Residential Project and
another is in Purbachal New Town Project.

The ACC in its plea said it has already filed a case against Sima Rahman for
amassing illegal wealth with the help from her husband and keeping those
under her possession. The case is now at the investigation stage and the
accused may try to hand over or transfer the properties to evade justice. So,
her movable and immovable properties should be attached or frozen, it added.
