He made the remarks as the chief guest at the 12th district conference of CPB at Shahid Hadis Park on Thursday afternoon.

Prince said another mass uprising would be needed to achieve true freedom from exploitation if the July Uprising of 2024 fails secure people's fundamental rights.

Terming the 2014, 2018, and 2024 national elections a "mockery," Prince said that the people had no participation in those polls.

He added that only democratic reforms can end misrule, irregularities, and corruption, and build a peaceful and just society.

The conference began with the hoisting of national and party flags, followed by cultural performances.

CPB district president Dr Monoj Kumar Das presided over the conference. District secretary S A Rashid conducted the programme, while CPB leaders H M Shahadat, Ashok Sarkar, and Mizanur Rahman Babu also addressed the gathering.

Later, a red-flag procession paraded through the city.
