Police officers of KMP participate in 'Mini Marathon Competition'

KHULNA, Dec 6, 2025 (BSS) - A "Mini Marathon Competition" was held this 
morning under the initiative of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) with the 
theme "Stay Healthy, Build a Safe Bangladesh". 

A total of 125 police members of KMP took part in the event.

The marathon route covered Shibbari Intersection, Joragate area, Mohila 
College Intersection, Boyra Bazar, and Police Lines in the city.

KMP Commissioner Mohammad Zulfiqar Ali Haider distributed prizes among the 
winners at the concluding ceremony.

The KMP commissioner said that physical fitness is not only a matter of 
personal well-being but also essential for professional efficiency and 
success. 

Regular exercise, sports, and health practices enhance work capacity, build 
mental resilience, and help police officers serve the public more 
effectively, he said. 

He added that today's mini marathon is not merely a race but a step toward 
improving fitness and contributing to building a safer Bangladesh.

Additional Police Commissioner Abu Raihan Muhammad Saleh, Additional Police 
Commissioner, Mohammad Rashidul Islam Khan, Additional Police Commissioner 
Muhammad Shahnewaz Khaled, Deputy Police Commissioners, and other senior and 
junior police officials attended the programme.
