DHAKA, Sept 2, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has strongly condemned and protested the terrorist assault on Jatiya Ganotantrik Party (JAGPA) President Khandaker Lutfor Rahman.

In a statement, he said, "Such a barbaric attack is a part of a deep-rooted conspiracy. We believe this assault was orchestrated as a part of a plot to foil the upcoming national election," according to facebook page of BNP's Media Cell.

He added, "It is the government's responsibility to immediately arrest the attackers and bring them under the law to ensure exemplary punishment."

The BNP secretary general ended, saying, "I firmly believe that unity among all democratic political parties will thwart such anti-democratic conspiracies and establish the people's democratic aspirations."

Khandaker Lutfor Rahman, President of JAGPA, a leading organization of the nationalist likeminded alliance, has been critically injured in an attack by miscreants.
