TANGAIL, Nov 17, 2025 (BSS) - Gono Odhikar Parishad President and former DUCSU VP Nurul Haque Nur today said Awami League was rejected by the country's people through the 2024 mass uprising.

"But, Awami League has a nationwide support. Those who did not support Sheikh Hasina's fascist regime, belonged to the party due to the situation, did not oppress anyone...I will call upon all political parties, including BNP, Jamaat, Gono Odhikar Parishad and NCP, to give space to the ordinary leaders and activists of Awami League, who want to do politics, in all parties," he said.

Nur made these remarks while speaking to reporters after placing a wreath at the mazar of Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani on his 49th death anniversary.

He asked the AL men not pay heed the words of those, who are sponsoring them to throw cocktails and create sabotage here by leading a luxurious life abroad with plundered money.

Nur said the Awami League did not be able to assume power for 21 years after 1975, and after the mass uprising of 2024, it will not be able to stand in politics again in 41 years.

The Gono Odhikar Parishad president urged the law enforcing agencies to take stern action against the fascist forces involved in sabotage in the country.
