Int’l Day for Elimination of Violence against Women Nov 25

DHAKA, Nov 22, 2025 (BSS)- The International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women will be observed from November 25 to December 10, 2025, under the initiative of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs.

Women and Children Affairs Adviser Sharmeen S Murshid will inaugurate the day programmme at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center, said a press release here today. 

Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs Momtaz Ahmed will preside over the event. The theme of this year's day is “Unite to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls”.

In addition, these 16-day programmes will be carried out by the departments, organizations under the ministry and other ministries and departments and organizations, directorates and various institutions. 

At the same time, various development partners, welfare societies and NGOs will carry out 16-day programmmes to prevent violence against women on their own initiative.
