DHAKA, March 3, 2026 (BSS) - The Namaj-e-janaza of Achhia Begum, mother of Didarul Alam, Chief Reporter of the Bangla section of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), will be held tomorrow after Zuhr prayers at Shahdowlatpur Maisan Bari in Mainamati.

Following the Janaza, she will be laid to rest at the family graveyard of Maisan Bari.

Achhia Begum passed away at 9pm tonight at her residence in Shahdowlatpur village, Mainamati, at the age of 79. She had long been suffering from various health complications.

She is survived by five sons, three daughters, grandchildren and numerous relatives and well-wishers.

Hazi Jashim Uddin, Member of Parliament for Cumilla-5 constituency, expressed deep shock and sorrow at her death.
