DHAKA, March 12, 2026 (BSS) - Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) today arrested a man and recovered huge quantity of yaba tablets from a bus in front of Molla Tower of Pashchim Rampura in Hatijheel Thana in the capital.

The arrestee was identified as Shoaib Sarker, 51, son of Abu Yusuf of Tengarchar village in Gazaria thana of Munshiganj district.

On a tip-off, a team of DNC raided an Abdullahpur-bound slipper bus from Cox’s Bazar named ‘Doel Express’ and arrested Shoaib. They also recovered 10,000 pieces of yaba tablets from his possession.

A case was filed with Hatirjheel Thana in this regard.
