DHAKA, March 26, 2026 (BSS) – The Bangladesh Army marked the Great Independence and National Day-2026 with a ceremonial 31-gun salute at sunrise to honour the nation’s martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the War of Liberation. 

In the old airport area at Tejgaon in the capital, an artillery regiment of Bangladesh Army saluted the heroic martyrs of the Great War of Liberation by firing 31 gun shots from six guns. 

The Great Independence and National Day are being observed across the country with due dignity and enthusiasm this year like every year.
