DHAKA, March 29, 2026 (BSS) - The government has appointed new Deputy Commissioners (DCs) to 11 districts of the country.

The districts are Rajshahi, Chuadanga, Khulna, Madaripur, Brahmanbaria, Chandpur, Habiganj, Narsingdi, Meherpur, Lalmonirhat and Bandarban.

On Sunday, the Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification in this regard, which will come into immediate effect.

According to the notification, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Kazi Shahidul Islam has been posted as DC of Rajshahi, while Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs Lutfun Nahar as DC of Chuadanga.

Deputy Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division Miju Hara Jannat has been made DC of Khulna and Deputy Secretary of the Finance Division Marzina Akter has been posted to Madaripur.

Deputy Director (Deputy Secretary) of the Government Printing Press Md Abu Sayeed has been appointed as DC of Brahmanbaria and Deputy Secretary of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division Ahmed Ziaur Rahman has been made DC of Chandpur.

Deputy Secretary of the Cabinet Division GM Sarfaraz has been made DC of Habiganj, and Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Employment Israt Jahan Keya has been posted to Narsingdi.

Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs Shilpi Rani Roy has been made Meherpur DC, while Deputy Secretary of Bangladesh Power Development Board Md Rashedul Haque Pradhan has been appointed as DC of Lalmonirhat.
Deputy Project Director (Deputy Secretary) of the Land Management Automation Project Md Saniul Ferdous has been appointed as the DC of Bandarban.
