DHAKA, March 29, 2026 (BSS) - The two-day election to the Executive Council 
of the Dhaka Bar Association for the 2026-2027 term will be held on April 29 
and 30.

"The election schedule was declared today. Voting will take place from 9 am 
to 5 pm on both days, with a one-hour break from 1 pm to 2 pm," Chief 
Election Commissioner Alhajj Md Borhan Uddin told BSS.

Candidates can collect and submit nomination papers from the election 
commission office, located on the second floor of the Dhaka Bar Association 
building, from April 5 to 7 while the scrutiny of nomination papers will take 
place on April 8.

The list of eligible candidates will be published on April 9. Candidates may 
withdraw their nomination papers on April 12 from 10 am to 4 pm. The final 
list of candidates will be published at 4:30 pm on April 12.

A candidates' introductory meeting will be held at 2 pm on April 26.
