Motorbike rider killed in road accident on Badda's U-loop Bridge

DHAKA, March 30, 2026 (BSS) - A motorbike rider was killed in a tragic road accident on U-loop Bridge in Badda area of the capital this afternoon. 

The deceased, an unidentified youth aged around 25, was found critically injured in the accident took place around 2:00 in the afternoon, police and local sources said. 

Locals quickly rescued him and rushed him to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead at approximately 3:00 pm.

Badsha Mia, a passer-by who assisted in taking the victim to the hospital, said he heard screaming on the bridge and rushed to the scene. 

"I saw the young man lying on the road. He was taken to hospital with the help of the people, but doctors later confirmed he had died," he said.

According to initial reports, the accident may have occurred following a collision between the motorbike and a CNG auto-rickshaw. 

However, the exact cause is yet to be confirmed.

No identity was found in the victim's wallet, leaving his identity unknown at the time of reporting.

Inspector Mohammad Faruk, in-charge of the DMCH police camp, said the body has been kept at the hospital morgue. 

He added that the concerned police station has been informed, and further legal procedures are underway.

Police are working to identify the victim and investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
