Fake photocard with image of Home Minister spreading propaganda identified: BanglaFact

DHAKA, April 18, 2026 (BSS)- BanglaFact, the fact-checking team of the Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB), has identified a propaganda campaign spreading a fake photocard featuring Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed. 

The fake card falsely claims that Osman Hadi's grave has been relocated and that entry to the site has been banned indefinitely.

BanglaFact reports that the claim regarding the relocation of Osman Hadi's grave and the indefinite ban on entry has been identified as false.

According to the BanglaFact investigation team, a photocard bearing the image of Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed has been circulating on social media, claiming that Osman Hadi's grave has been moved and that access is permanently prohibited.

BanglaFact's verification found that Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed made no such statement regarding the relocation of Osman Hadi's grave or an indefinite ban on entry there.

Furthermore, no media sources have confirmed the claims.

Dr. Rafiqul Islam, Assistant Proctor of Dhaka University said this information is incorrect, no such directive has been issued.
