DHAKA, April 19, 2026 (BSS) - Police conducted a special operation in the Shahjahanpur area of the capital and arrested a total of 21 individuals involved in various criminal activities.

The arrested persons are: Md. Rokibul Islam (40), Md. Raihan Islam Shahjahan (25) , Md. Shariful Islam (57), Md. Rian alias Reyon (23), Md. Sohel Rana Shuvo (30), Raihan (19), Md. Sohel Rana (28), Md. Masud (32), Md. Naim Hossain (20), Mohammad Ali (21), Md. Borhan Uddin (36), Robi (22), Md. Alamin (23), Monir Hossain (28), Md. Arif (35), Md. Junaid (22) , Md. Shamim (19), Sabu (30), Md. Sohel Islam Shuvo (30), Md. Shahadat Hossain (26) and Md. Monir Hossain (19).

According to Shahjahanpur Police sources, the arrests were made on Sunday during separate raids conducted in different areas under Shahjahanpur Police Station.

This was confirmed by N M Nasiruddin, Deputy Police Commissioner, Media and Public Relations Division, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

The arrested individuals have been sent to court. 

Police said such drives will continue to maintain law and order and ensure a stable security situation.
