11 more suspected measles deaths reported in 24 hrs

DHAKA, April 25, 2026 (BSS) - A total of 11 more suspected deaths showing measles-like symptom and 1,058 new cases were reported across the country in the past 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

During the 24-hour period from 8:00 am Friday to 8:00 am Saturday, 229 confirmed measles patients were admitted to different hospitals nationwide, said a DGHS press release today.

The total number of suspected measles patients hospitalized has reached 20,475. Of them, 17,081 have recovered and been discharged so far.

The release further stated that since March 15, a total of 209 suspected measles-related deaths have been reported across the country.
