47 crime suspects held in Tejgaon

DHAKA, June 18, 2026 (BSS) – A total of 47 individuals involved in various criminal activities were arrested during special drives conducted by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Tejgaon Division in the last 24 hours.

“They were arrested during a regular anti-crime campaign at various crime-prone areas under the Tejgaon division yesterday,” according to a press release issued by the DMP’s media relation division here today.

It said police produced them before the court.    

The release said the arrested are - Md Anwar Hossain (35), Alex Angel Gonsalvos (20), Mohammad Saad, Md Ali (51), Md Sohag (26), Md Al Hasan (33), Md Rabiul (26), Md Sujan (24), Dipta Ahmed, Md Rakib Hasan (30), Md Taufiqul Islam Taufiq (45), Md Anisuzzaman Taju (50), Md Al Amin (31), Md Nur Hossain (22), Md Mahbub Maijul (20), Md Manik (19), Md Sabbir Hossain (25), Md Rabbi (19), Md Rabbi (22), Tanvir (20), Rajan Ahmed Yasin (20), Bellal (19), Md Yasin Shawon (27), Abul Kashem (33), Md Amir Hossain (32), Md Arif Hossain Joy (33), Rabbi Hasan, Md Ashraful Islam (18), Md Naeem (18), Md Rakib Hossain (20), Abul Kalam Azad (19), Md Sujan (19), Mehedi Hasan Sagar (24), Md Jibon Hossain (20), Md Nur Alam Islam (22), Md Zahid Hasan (19), Md Emon (20), A Quddus (23), Md Shariful Islam, Golam Rabbani (24), Md Shah, Mehedi Hasan Miraj (24), Md Abul Hossain alias Munna (25), Md Abu Bakkar Siddique (40), Md Ramzan Sharif (35), Md Emdadul (28) and Md Abul Kalam Azad (32).

Police said that three were arrested from Tejgaon Police Station, six from Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station, 14 from Mohammadpur Police Station, 14 from Adabor Police Station, five from Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station and five from Hatirjheel Police Station.
