RANGPUR, July 1, 2026 (BSS) - Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu is expected to arrive in Lalmonirhat tonight on a six-day official visit. 

This information has been given in a letter signed by Selim Ahmed, Private Secretary (Deputy Secretary) to the Minister of Disaster Management and Relief, a press note issued by the Rangpur Regional PID Office said this afternoon. 

According to the schedule, the minister will distribute emergency food aid to people stranded in Mughal Hat, Rajpur and Khuniagachh unions on July 2 (Thursday) at 10 am, 12 pm and 1 pm respectively. 

On the same day, at 7 pm, he will participate in the preparatory meeting for the illuminated Lalmonirhat at the Lalmonirhat Circuit House. 

On July 3 (Friday) at 11 am, the minister will inaugurate the dialysis unit of Sonar Bangla Foundation at Dr Selima Diabetic Hospital in Lalmonirhat. 

Then at 2:30 pm, the minister will attend a views-exchange meeting with members of the Board of Trustees of Lalmonirhat Diabetic Samity and Dr Selima Diabetic Hospital Ad Hoc Committee. 

The minister will attend the inauguration ceremony of ‘Alokita Lalmonirhat’ by Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at the MT Hossain Institute Ground in Lalmonirhat on July 4 (Saturday) at 3 pm. 

After the inauguration, he will participate in the colorful rally of ‘Alokita Lalmonirhat’ at the same place at 5 pm. 

The next day, on July 5 (Sunday), at 11 am, the minister will take the examination for granting the Nikah Registrar License of Mahendra Nagar Union No 4 of Lalmonirhat Sadar Upazila at the Lalmonirhat Sub-Registrar’s office. 

On the same day, at 12 noon, Mastul Foundation will provide financial assistance, material assistance and community tube wells to the needy and helpless people at Barobari Union Parishad premises. 

Later, at 1 pm, he will participate in the programme of releasing fish fry in the water body of the housing project adjacent to Chandni Bazar of the Lalmonirhat municipality, distributing school dresses to school students and providing community tube wells. 

The minister will leave Lalmonirhat for Dhaka at 11:45 am on July 6 (Monday).
