CHATTOGRAM, July 17, 2026 (BSS) – The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Chattogram, have been postponed until further notice due to the aftermath of the floods.

The announcement was made by the Chattogram Education Board (CEB) in a notice issued on Thursday evening.

The decision was taken considering the overall situation in the flood-affected areas, the physical and mental well-being of students, and the severe difficulties in reaching examination centres due to damaged roads.

In accordance with a decision of the Inter-Education Boards Coordination Committee, the notice said the remaining examinations will remain suspended until further notice.

It also said a revised schedule for the postponed examinations will be announced later.

Chairman of the Chattogram Education Board Prof Abdullah Al Mamun Chowdhury told BSS that many examinees were facing difficulties in reaching their examination centres due to roads damaged by the floods.

The decision to postpone the examinations was taken in view of the difficulties they were facing, he added.
