DHAKA, July 17, 2026 (BSS) – Mugda police have arrested 12 people in a special operation in the area as part of ongoing anti-crime drives.

The operation was conducted on Thursday in different areas under Mugda Police Station, according to a statement issued by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Friday.

According to the DMP media statement, the arrested are Md Kamrul Hasan (65), Mahbub (19), Arif (19), Liton Ali (28), Md Sohag Hossain (23), Md Halim (42), Md Ibrahim (24), Md Jobair Ahmed Apu (27), Abdur Rahim (26), Md Imran (24), Md Manik (20) and Md Sohel (25). 

Police produced them before the court, DMP said.

Authorities added that similar operations would continue to maintain law and order in the capital.
