Newly appointed 184 BCS health officers to join tomorrow

DHAKA, Sept 6, 2026 (BSS) - The newly appointed 184 doctors under the 48th Special Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Health cadre will join their respective posts tomorrow.

The health and family welfare ministry has instructed the newly recruits to submit joining letters by 9 am tomorrow at Shaheed Abu Sayed International Convention Centre.

State minister for health and family welfare Dr AM Mohith will attend the joining ceremony as the chief guest.

The joining ceremony will be carried out serially based on the BCS gazette numbers, while officers have been asked to submit two copies of their joining applications, two photocopies of their national identity cards and a non-judicial stamp worth Tk 300 containing an undertaking that neither they nor their families would accept or give dowry.

Earlier, the public administration ministry's gazette notification asked appointed Special BCS Health cadre officers to appear in person and submit their joining letters on September 7.

It said that the joining letters must be submitted to the secretary of the health services division. 

Of the recruited officers, 165 were appointed as assistant surgeons and 19 as assistant dental surgeons.
