DHAKA, Feb 7, 2025 (BSS) - The much-awaited 'Dhaka International Marathon-2025' will be held tomorrow at the 300 feet area of the capital under the overall supervision of the Bangladesh Army, said an ISPR press release.

This event is going to be the biggest marathon ever organized in Bangladesh, where around ten thousand runners will participate. Several foreign marathoners from ten countries will be represented in this marathon.

The theme of the marathon is 'Run for Unity, Run for Humanity', which conveys the message of unity, friendship and respect for diversity.

The competition will be held in five different categories -- marathon (42.2 km), half marathon (21.1 km), 10 km. general, 10 km for first time participants and 10 km for veteran category.

Special security arrangements, healthcare support and smooth traffic management have been ensured for this grand event so that both competitors and spectators can enjoy a safe and enjoyable environment.
