DHAKA, Feb 7, 2025 (BSS)- Khulna Divisional Sports Association (DSA)  emerged champions in the final round of Inter-division Athletics competition held at Bangabandhu National Stadium in the capital today.

Khulna DSA secured a total of fifteen medals including five gold, three silver and seven bronze medals while Chattogram DSA  finished runners-up with  twelve medals including   five gold, three silver and four bronze medals.  

Besides, Md. Maruf Hasan of Chattogram DSA won the gold in 100m men's event with a time of 11.47s while Ojaifa Khatun of Rajshahi DSA bagged gold in the 100m women's event with a time of 13.49s
The day-long competition, organized on occasion of Festival of Youth, saw eighteen events which included ten events of men’s and eight events of women’s.

Earlier Bangladesh Athletics Federation (BAF) president Major General Dr. Nayeem Ashfaque Chowdhury formally inaugurated the day-long meet as the chief guest while National Sports Council secretary Aminul Islam was  present there  as the special guest.

A total of 240 athletes from eight divisions -- twenty eight athletes from each division -- participated in the in meet.
