DHAKA, Feb 10, 2025 (BSS) - Fast bowler Hasan Mahmud will be part of Bangladesh's initial preparation phase for the ICC Champions Trophy.

He, however, will return home once the tournament begins.
 
The fast bowler was not included in the official 15-member squad, which features pacers Taskin Ahmed, Nahid Rana, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, and Mustafizur Rahman but his impressive form in the recently concluded Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) earned him a spot in the preparatory camp

The Bangladesh team is set to leave for the UAE on February 13.

They will play a warm-up match against Pakistan A on February 15 to complete their preparations for the Champions Trophy.

The will kick off the campaign with the match against India on February 20. The Tigers thereafter will face off New Zealand and hosts Pakistan on February 24 and 27 respectively in Rawalpindi.
