Primary School Gold Cup Football finals to be held tomorrow

DHAKA, Feb 26, 2025 (BSS)- The Primary School Gold Cup Football tournament 
finals (boys' and girls') will be held at the national stadium in the capital 
tomorrow (Thursday).

Primary and Mass Education Adviser Professor Dr. Bidhan Ranjan Roy Podder is 
expected to distribute the prizes as the chief guest after the finals of the 
event.

Youth and Sports Secretary Md. Rezaul Maksud Jahedi will present there as 
special guest while Primary and Mass Education Secretary Abu Taher Md Masud 
Rana will preside over the prize distribution ceremony.
 
In the boys' group final match, Ichaghari Government Primary School in 
Sunamganj sadar of Sylhet division will meet Koyarbil Government Primary 
School in Kutubdia upazila of Cox's Bazar district under Chattogram division 
at 12.40 pm.
 
In the girls' group final, Jorgacha Government Primary School in Santhia 
upazila of Pabna district under Rajshahi division take on Bancharampur Model 
Government Primary School in Bancharampur upazila of Brahmanbaria district 
under Chattogram division at 3 pm.

Earlier in the first semi-final of the boys' group, Ichaghari Government 
Primary School beat Doara Antabunia Government Primary School of Koira 
upazila under Khulna district by 2-0 goals.

In the second semi-final, Koyarbil Government Primary School defeated 
Matikata Government Primary School of Bhunchapur upazila under Tangail 
district by 4-2 goals in tie breaker after the regulation time ended 1-1 
draw.

In the girls' group first semi-final, Jorgacha Government Primary School beat 
Doharo Government Primary School of Shailakupa upazila under Jhenaidah 
district by 2-1 goals.

In the second semi-final, Bancharampur Model Government Primary School 
defeated Tepriganj Government Primary School of Debiganj upazila under 
Panchagarh district by 2-1 goals.
