Bangladesh wins kabaddi test series

DHAKA, Feb 26, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh national kabaddi team won the five-match kabaddi test series with one match in hand as they beaten visiting Nepal national kabaddi team by 49-24 points in the fourth match held at Palton ground adjoining the national stadium in the capital today (Wednesday).

Bangladesh led the first half by 31-18 points.

Mizanur Rahman, the captain of the Bangladesh team, was adjudged the best player of the match. Bangladesh national kabaddi team's former players Amir Hossain Patwari and Subimal Chandra Das handed over the best player award.

Earlier, Bangladesh beat Nepal by 53-29 points in the first match but Nepal staged a brilliant fight back to level the series defeating Bangladesh by narrow margin of 45-42 points in the second match.

Bangladesh again took lead in the series beating the Himalayan side by 42-37 points in the third match.

The last and fifth match of the series will be held on Friday (Feb 28) at the same venue.
