Zia splits point in 2nd round in Sharjah Masters Chess

DHAKA, May 19, 2025 (BSS)- FIDE master Tahsin Tajwar Zia split point with 
candidate master Suslov Dmitrii of Russia in the 2nd round game of the 
Sharjah Masters Chess, category-B which is now being held in Sharjah, United 
Arab Emirates, said a press release today.

The 2nd round matches held on Sunday last with international master Manon 
Reja Neer defeated Khalifa Esha Albaloosi of United Arab Emirates, FIDE 
master Noshin Anjum split point with Mohammed Abdurrahman Alawadhi of United 
Arab Emirates, FIDE master Sakline Mostafa Sajid lost to international master 
Prraneeth Vuppala of India, women international master Wadifa Ahmed lost to 
international master Setyaki Azarya Jodi of Indonesia and women candidate 
master Waljah Ahmed lost to international master Tissir Mohamed of Morocco. 

FIDE master Tahsin Tajwar Zia earned 1.5 points, Neer, FIDE master Sakline 
Mostafa Sajid and women international master Wadifa Ahmed bagged one point 
each, women FIDE master Noshin Anjum and women candidate master Walijah Ahmed 
collected 0.5 point each.
