DHAKA, May 19, 2025 (BSS)-United Arab Emirates (UAE) captain Muhammad Waseem
won the toss and asked Bangladesh to bat first in the second T20 International at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium today.

The tour was initially a two-match series but it was extended to three matches after a fruitful discussion between the two boards today.

Bangladesh, which are leading the series 1-0, following their 27-run victory in the first match, made four changes to the side from the previous game.

While Mustafizur Rahman was released to play the IPL, Bangladesh left out Parvez Hossain Emon, the centurion of the first match, Hasan Mahmud who took three wickets in the previous game and vice-captain Mahedi Hasan.

To fill the void of those four players, they brought in Najmul Hossain
Shanto, Rishad Hossain, Nahid Rana and Shoriful Islam in the playing XI.
Rishad and Nahid were supposed to play the first match but due to visa
complicacy they had joined the side at the eleventh hour of the first game.

The four changes were believed to be made as part of rotating the squad in a
bid to give all players a chance to have some game time ahead of crucial
Pakistan series.

UAE, which aim to level the series, also have made a couple of changes too,
with pacer Saghir Khan making his T20I debut today, and Aryansh Sharma
enlisted to keep wicket. Shanchit Sharma and Haider Ali were left out to
accommodate the duo.
