Emon given rest as precaution

DHAKA, May 19, 2025 (BSS) - Opener Parvez Hossain Emon was given rest from the second T20 International against United Arab Emirates (UAE) as part of precaution measurement.

The young opener felt discomfort in his left groin while batting during the first T20 match. He blasted a record-breaking century in that match but later didn't field as precaution as the Tigers scripted a comprehensive 27-run victory in that match.

Though he was cleared to play after passing fitness test for the second game, the team management decided to give him additional time to recover fully.

At the same time, there was plan in the place to rotate all players in this series in a bid to give them some game-time ahead of the crucial T20 series in Pakistan.
