DHAKA, May 20, 2025 (BSS) - The Russian House in Dhaka today hosted the grand opening ceremony of the large-scale running event - the international marathon "One Run".

"One Run" is a unique sports project that will take place on May 24 and bring together over 200,000 participants from 25 countries worldwide on the same day. 

This year, Bangladesh will join the marathon for the first time, with about 1,000 runners participating in Hatirjheel.

The other countries are Serbia, Bahrain, Armenia, Egypt, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Nepal, Cameroon, UAE and China. 

This year the One Run half marathon will be held in all regions of the Russian Federation for the 9th time, as well as in the participating countries for the 3rd time.

The opening ceremony was attended by Minister-Counselor of the Russian embassy in Bangladesh Ekaterina Semenova, members of the diplomatic corps, and future participants of the race.
