Bangladesh remain 184th position in FIFA ranking

DHAKA, Sept 18, 2025 (BSS)- Bangladesh national football team made no progress in the world rankings and they remained in the 184th position as previous in the latest ranking list published by FIFA today (Thursday).

Bangladesh is scheduled to play two matches against Nepal in the FIFA window this month. 

In the context of the situation that arose in Kathmandu, Bangladesh had to return home after playing one match. The only match against Nepal ended in a goalless draw. 

The ranking of Nepal also remain unchanged with 176 positions.

Meanwhile, Spain moved up top of the FIFA rankings and they are followed by France and Argentina in the second and third position respectively.

Earlier, in August, Bangladesh women’s football team have climbed their biggest 24 steps in the FIFA women’s ranking moving from 128th to 104th following their historic qualification for the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup for the first time ever.
