Moulvibazar, Brahmanbaria emerge Surma zone champions

DHAKA, Sept 18, 2025 (BSS)- Moulvibazar and Brahmanbaria districts emerged 
Surma zone champions in the men's and women's division respectively in the 
National Kabaddi Championship that concluded at Sylhet divisional sports 
complex in Sylhet today (Thursday).

In the men's division final, Moulvibazar beat host Sylhet by 37-21 points 
while Brahmanbaria defeated Habiganj district by 27-21 points in the women's 
division final to win the crown.

Earlier, in the men's division, Sylhet beat Brahmanbaria 52-33 in the first 
semifinal while Moulvibazar defeated Habiganj 61-21 in the second semis.

While in the women's division, Brahmanbaria beat Sylhet 32-20 in the first 
semifinal while Habiganj defeated Moulvibazar 30-28 in the second semis.

Sylhet Deputy Commissioner Md Sarowar Alam was the chief guest in the final 
and distributed the prizes.
