Cute-BSPA Sports Carnival begins tomorrow

DHAKA, Sept 20, 2025 (BSS) - Cute-Bangladesh Sports Press Association (BSPA) Sports Carnival will begin through a table tennis event at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium in the city tomorrow. 

National Sports Council executive director (joint secretary) Kazi Nazrul Islam is expected to open the week-long meet as the chief guest. 
The detail of the carnival was disclosed at a press conference held at Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) auditorium today.

Moushumi Industries Limited chairman and Bangladesh Archery Federation founding general secretary Kazi Razib Uddin Ahmed Chapal will present as the special guest.

Nearly hundred members of the organization will compete fourteen events of nine disciplines.

The disciplines are archery, carom, table tennis, badminton, chess, swimming, athletics call bridge twenty nine and shooting. All the matches will be held at national stadium complex. 

BSPA president Razwan-uz-zaman Rajib said the BSPA introduced the sports carnival in 2016 in a small scale but now this carnival is going to be held on a large scale with the participation of number of BSPA members. The BSPA introduced the carnival with an aim to provide entertainment for journalists.

He also thanked sponsor Moushumi Industries Limited's popular brand Cute for sponsoring the carnival of the first time.

Moushumi Industries Limited chairman Kazi Razib Uddin Ahmed Chapal, BSPA general secretary Samon Hossain, its vice president Kazi Shohidul Alom and BSPA sports and cultural secretary Abu Hoaraira Tamim were also present in the press conference.
