Jesy to officiate Women’s World Cup opening game as fourth umpire

DHAKA, Sept 20, 2025 (BSS)—The International Cricket Council (ICC) today announced the match-wise officials for the league stage of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup to be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

Claire Polosak and Eloise Sheridan will be the on-field umpires for the tournament opener between India and Sri Lanka in Guwahati on September 30.

Kim Cotton will act as TV umpire while Sathira Jakir Jesy will stand as fourth umpire, the ICC said.  Shandré Fritz will be the match referee.

The ICC earlier announced that the showcase tournament will be officiated by all-female match officials.

Bangladesh will begin their campaign on October 2 by taking on Pakistan in Colombo.
