DHAKA, Sept 22, 2025 (BSS)- Rangamati district emerged champions and 
Khagrachhari finished runners-up in women's division in the Karnafuli Zone of 
National Kabaddi competition (men's and women's) held at Cumilla gymnasium 
today (Monday).

In the women's division, four teams competed in a round-robin league format. 

Rangamati district continued their excellent performance on their way to 
becoming the undefeated champions.

Earlier on Sunday, Rangamati defeated Chattogram in their first match. They 
won the remaining two matches on the second day to secure the title.

In the day's matches, Rangamati defeated Khagrachhari by 50-19 points in 
their first match and then beat host Cumilla district by 49-25 points in the 
second match.

In other women's division matches of the day, Chattogram defeated Cumilla by 
59-6 points and Khagrachhari district edged past Chattogram district by 32-3 
points. 

Meanwhile, in the men's division, Cumilla, Noakhali, Chattogram and Rangamati 
districts advanced to the semifinals eliminating their respective rivals. 

The two semifinals and final matches of the men's division will be held 
tomorrow (Tuesday).
