DHAKA, Sept 23, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has officially announced that it currently holds Tk 1,398 crore in financial reserves, just weeks before the upcoming board elections scheduled for October 6.

The figure significantly surpasses earlier estimates, which suggested reserves of around Tk. 900 crore.

Iftekhar Rahman Mithu, Chairman of the BCB Media and Communications Committee, confirmed the updated figure following a board meeting that concluded in the early hours of Tuesday.

"The current committee is leaving behind nearly Tk 1,400 crore," Mithu said.

"To be precise, the amount stands at Tk 1,398 crore, which includes fixed deposit receipts (FDRs), cash in hand, and cash in bank accounts."
