Final round of 5th National Squash Championship begins

DHAKA, Oct 13, 2025 (BSS)- The final round of Turaag Active fifth National 
Squash Championship has begun at Bashundhara Sports City and Independent 
University squash complex in the capital through a fabulous opening ceremony 
today (Monday).

Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan formally inaugurated the 
men's section competition in the afternoon by unveiling jerseys and releasing 
balloons, following the women's section competition.

Earlier, the event was inaugurated by General Secretary of Bangladesh Squash 
Federation (BSF) Brigadier General (retd.) GM Quamrul Islam, Director of 
Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) Ashraf Uddin and other officials in 
the morning.

The BSF is organising the competition for the fifth time with record-breaking 
players under the patronization of Urmi Group and Turaag Active.

The four-day final round will be held on a round-robin league basis at 
Bashundhara Sports City, Independence University, Bangladesh, Army Squash 
Complex, Shaheen College and Army Officer Mess venues.
 
The final match and prize distribution ceremony of the competition will be 
held at Bashundhara Sports City on October 16.

The groups for the final round are open (women), open (men), open (members), 
and separate groups for boys' and girls' age 11 and under, 12-13 years and 
14-15 years.
