DHAKA, Oct 13, 2025 (BSS) - After a shocking home match defeat, Bangladesh is looking forward to restore their lost pride as they again face host Hong Kong China in their group C match of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers scheduled to be held at Kai Tak Sports Park in Hong Kong China tomorrow (Tuesday).

The match, which kicks off at 6 pm (Bangladesh time), has  merely become to complete a formality for the Jamal Bhuyan and Co. who have literally no chance to qualify for the final round of the Asian Cup.

Addressing at a pre match press conference today, Bangladesh coach Javier Cabrera said his team did a very good performance in home, it was very competitive match for both the teams, boys would take to the field tomorrow (Tuesday) with the same mentality and same ambition because they need to get the three points to keep going forward.

He said after the home match boys have got enough time to recovery in Hong Kong and prepared for the big match tomorrow.

The Javier Cabrera’s side, currently stands bottom of the table with just a single point, had began campaign  with a fighting goalless draw with host India before a 2-1 lose to Singapore at home, followed an exciting 4-3 goals defeat to Hong Kong held last week in Dhaka.

Hong Kong with seven points in the bag, are currently leading  the race for the Asian Cup qualification from Group C and another victory would definitely bolster their chance to qualify in the main round of the Asian Cup.

Hong Kong will take to the field with upper hand against Bangladesh in the Tuesday’s match, Bangladesh coach Javier Cabrera also expecting the same performance from Hamza Choudhury Shamit Shome and Sheikh Morsalin, who shown a promising performance in the home match against Hong Kong.

The two teams met five times in the past with Hong Kong remained undefeated all occasions winning three matches against Bangladesh since the two sides met for the first time in 2006.

Bangladesh are in 184th position where as Hong Kong are ranked 146th in the world, according to the latest FIFA World Ranking.
