DHAKA, Jan 6, 2026 (BSS) - The International Cricket Council's (ICC) experts
panel today revealed the name of the 'player to watch out' in the ICC Under-
19 World Cup from each participating countries.

From Bangladesh, they picked up Rizan Hossain, a pace-bowling all-rounder,
whom they thought would play a big role for the country's cause in the
tournament.

"A pace-bowling all-rounder who is also a very handy batter, Rizan Hossan
will hope to one day be as influential for Bangladesh as his hero Ben Stokes
has been for England," The ICC wrote.

"Although he was a little quieter during the U19 Asia Cup, Rizan showed his
worth earlier in the year with back-to-back half-centuries against
Afghanistan, while he also scored a brilliant century against England on a
summer tour."

Whether it is his middle order batting or first-change bowling, Rizan will
have a big role to play for Bangladesh, the ICC thinks.

The mega event for young cricketers will run from January 15 to February 6 in
Zimbabwe and Namibia.

Bangladesh are pitted in Group B along with India, New Zealand and the USA.
